One of the events for the Jubilee is the lighting of 2012 beacons throughout the country on Monday 4 June 2012. One of them will be lit by the Friends of Greens Mill on the hill in the park outside the windmill.

Lighting of the beacon will take place at 9.45pm that evening at the same time as all others around the country and in time for satellite photographs of all to be taken at 10.00pm.

The evening will start at 8.00pm. There will be refreshments, entertainment and stalls.
