Hermitage Caves draw a crowd

Volunteers from Sneinton Alchemy opened the Hermitage Caves on Sunday 9th September as part of the Heritage Open Days event. The caves are usually locked to the public and can only be opened once or twice a year, so its a rare chance to look back into the history of the area. Colin Haynes of Nottingham Essence gave a fascinating talk about the caves through history, attracting nearly 150 visitors during the afternoon.
