Dales Ward to elect a new councillor

UPDATE: BY-ELECTION RESULTS ANNOUNCED

Thursday November 7th is the date set for a by-election to find a new councillor for Dales Ward (Sneinton and Bakersfield).

This follows the resignation of Councillor Ken Williams due to ill health. Ken has been a councillor for 12 years and supported many local groups including Sneinton Alchemy, where he was instrumental in the Spaces and Places Action Group.

New residents who want to register to vote will need to do so by 23rd of October.

The full list of candidates standing is:

Tad Jones, Liberal Democrats
Neghat Nawaz Khan, The Labour Party
Irenea Marriott, UK Independence Party
Adam Fergus McGregor, The Green Party
Cathy Meadows, Trade Unionists and Socialists Against Cuts
Neale Mittenshaw-Hodge, The Conservative Party
