On Saturday 21st January 2012 an evening of Star Gazing will be hosted by The Nottingham Astronomical Society. They have teamed up with the Friends of Colwick Woods for the event at the Old Bowling Green, opposite the Nottingham Academy on Greenwood Road. The event will be part of the BBC Stargazing Live series

The Astronomical Society will have their telescopes trained on Jupiter and its moons, and the famous Orion Nebula amongst others. Their friendly team of amateur astronomers will be on hand to point out the stars and answer questions. Refreshments will be available in the pavilion.

The event is free and there is no need to book, just turn up to the Old Bowling Green between 5 and 9pm on 21st January. Under 16s must be accompanied by and adult.
