Sneinton Alchemy's team of Community Organisers put together a great community building event on Friday 6th December- The Your Sneinton Conference. With 90 delegates from the main local groups, many community members and community activists from across the country, the event was buzzing with positivity, ideas and a commitment to make change happen.

It was a fitting way to end the Community Organiser training year of David Jones and Simone Miller. They worked tirelessly to set up the event with senior CO Steve Smith.

Nottingham East MP Chris Leslie gave a talk at the event and later a write up in his weekly newsletter,
also throwing in a photo of the fantastic "visual
minutes" that were created live during the conference:

"I stopped in at the Sneinton Alchemy Conference on Friday afternoon which was held at St Christopher’s Church Hall – and was really impressed by the large number of local voluntary organisation and other institutions who had come together to talk about how they are supporting the fabric of the community in the Sneinton area. They had representatives from all the key local bodies and throughout the conference an artist was producing ‘visual minutes’ of the proceedings, one of which is in the picture below!:"
